Why did I receive damage from a friendly unit?

Q1. Why did I take damage from a friendly unit's attack?

A1. Wide-area attacks from charge weapons, such as the Wave Cannon, and the explosion caused from using Detonate Decoy deal damage to all units within their attack range—even if they are on the same side as the attacker.
